Easter Epilogue

The story is told.
You have heard it before
You will hear it again:
In a world in disorder
In grief, pain and slaughter,
Of children starving and bomb victims dying.
What meaning this story of ONE man who died
So long ago?

The world was dark then
The world is dark now:
There were murders then
There are gross murders now:
He, was someone's son,
There was grief and mourning and a burial scene.
Why so much fuss of ONE son who died
So long ago?

Easter Epilogue

Ah! Here is the difference.
This man was a Saviour,
The Son of God.
And whether we heed Him
Or whether we leave Him
He gave us hope.
He gave us life.
A promise of life ever after
The ONE man who rose from the dead
So long ago
