Moments in Time

The beautiful sun-drenched, moment in Time
Be-calmed and still, unbelievably still:
Sun-kissed, caressed, sublime.
The moment passes, storm-clouds appear
The ominous air is cold and chill;
Whipped into furious gusts of rage.
All hell let loose, heaven is stripped
Of all that peace and love and joy.
So in our lives that moment of time
When everything seems calm and good and still

Moments in Time

When words of love and joy makes rhyme
There suddenly crashes that strident note
Pouring out anger against our will
When hopes are dashed and hearts ne'er break
Then God stretches across his wondrous bow
And his promise renewed re-enters our soul
Washing our anger and sin whiter than snow
All is restored and we enter again
Another sun-drenched beautiful moment in time.
